Text

O vaga luce e dolce mie signore.

Translation

The most beautiful eyes which ever shone
are in my heart, and have so overpowered it
that I am sure I shall never be healed.

O lovely light and sweet Lord of mine.
why do you not take pity on me, your servant?
If your price is going to be so high.
my bitter sorrow will cause me to die.
About that, let me make only one point:
if you like me to perish in this woe.
I will die happily, because you know.
